|"Hear O' Israel, HaShem is our G-d, HaShem alone"
Shomrai HaBrit-Keepers of the Covenant is an organization dedicated to keeping Jewish people true to the eternal covenant we have with G-d. Other religions, including Christianity, are incompatible with being Jewish and keeping the covenant. Jews should not worship Jesus. We Jews have an eternal covenant with G-d. G-d willing, the matterials on this site will make up the core of a book.
The problem of assimilation and abandonment of Judaism for the religions of the majority of the nations round about is not a new one. In fact, the Tanach speaks of this problem, warning the Jews not to follow the nations.
Hoshea, prophet to the Northern Kingdom, spoke to a people who was intent on destroying itself by following the ways of others. They wanted to be like the other nations, and so adopted their "gods". Speaking for G-d, Hoshea said (Hoshea 4:6) "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall not be a priest to Me; seeing that you have forgotten the Torah of your G-d, I will also forget your children." Because they lacked knowledge of Torah, they abandoned the Eternal Covenant and were lost. When taken into exile, those who were not faithful and did not flee south to Judah, the assimilated and were not heard from, as it is until this day.
So to it is today, Jews without knowledge of Torah and the meaning of the Prophets, fall easy prey to "messianic" missionaries, "Jews for Jesus" and other such missionary groups. When they adopt another faith, like the people of the Northern Kingdom, they are lost to the Jewish people. They are no longer priests and their children will, according to statistics, not identify in any way with Judaism. It is the intent of this web site to provide Jewish people with the knowledge needed to prevent Jewish individuals from being "...destroyed for lack of knowledge...", and hopefully to bring some Jews who have strayed from the Eternal Covenant back.
