The Prayer Page

Prayer is at the heart of our ministry.  It connects us to God and to each other.  Please lift up our church, our city, our state and nation and the world in your prayers.  Pray that God's will is done and that he might use you  in some awesome way.

The Lifeline:  Prayer is the vital link to God that offers us an
opportunity to walk with Him every day.

Michael Duntz broke his arm while skateboarding with friends. Think of him in your prayers...  Mark Dunaj went into the hospital to have his kidney stones removed and he believes a combination of prayer and strong will allowed him to get out  and pitch for the softball team the next night.  Guess what?  The team won!   Think of Will Willey in your prayers.  He has been having a tough time as his body is building up fluid...   He had it drained and is just feeling a little punk now...  Rosie and Les Main had a terrible time as they planned to move from East Lyme to Waterford..  The deal fell through on the day of the closing. They are upbeat and now believe it may have been for the best...  Tim Caufield is a friend to some in the congregation and he needs our prayers.  He is battling cancer and we are asking for a miracle..   Barbara Bray went in for a foot operation and came out of the surgery successfully.  We thank God for the good news...  Betty Watson goes in to have a cyst removed from her knee on September 10.  Hopefully the surgery will be straightforward...  Melinda Brick's oldest son needs our prayers.  He has been going through a tough time and he is an expectant dad!  Pray for the family... Bob Buchowiecki is getting a little stronger every day.  He and Doris Royce, both of our recent heart by-pass patients,  are up and doing well and cheering each other on... We think of Lloyd Cochran in prayer as he fights some health concerns... Lift up Harry and Betty Eisan in prayer as they return to Connecticut for follow up tests with doctors this week.  You can send them a note in care of their daughter Beth, 95 Brook Rd,  Milton, MA   02186.
We give thanks for Amanda Guillemette's reunion with her younger sister.  They had been separated for the last six years after the children were put in foster care.  When the church group went to the Navigators last month the two girls bumped into each other.   What a joyous day!  Kathy Hundley did a number on her ankle recently.  She had to take it easy and let the men do some of the work around the house while it healed.  She is doing better now so we can say it was "mixed blessings." Laura and Ken Kreger announced that they were expecting their first child early next year.  Actually future grandma, Nancy Sederquest , announced it in church for all to hear...  Chris and Gary Reeves are also expecting another baby in the near future.   We pray for a healthy and safe delivery...  Dave Murray's son and his wife had a baby and so did Regina Grillo's sister and her husband, both after pregnancies where  concerns were offered up in prayer in recent months. Both families had safe deliveries...  Henry Pendleton's sister Roberta is in need of prayer.  Her outlook is not too good.  Pray God will deliver her one way or another...  George Rezendes goes in to have his wrist x-rayed this week.  We pray the healing is done and he no longer needs the cast...
We think of all our children going back to school this month and the teachers who will serve them.  Pray God gives both teacher and student the patience and understanding to do their very best...  We think of the college students going off to campuses near and far and we ask God to watch over them... We think of all our married couples and pray God blesses them with an appreciation of one another.  Too many couples take one another for granted until something happens...   We also pray for our families that are going through transitions.  Some are breaking apart,  others are facing the loss of their older parents.  We can thank God that he knows what we are facing and wants to walk with us in the changing circumstances of life...
