Kate tells what the heck this is all about.

It occurred to me sometime back that while I have no trouble buying gifts for my Mother, I don't really know what to get for my Dad. He claims to be the man who has everything he needs, and really doesn't want us to spend money on him. It was very difficult for him to accept the money we collected for the computer he shares with Mother, but she was able to convince him that others like to give on occasion, and he should accept gracefully. That seemed to work.

I decided to stop thinking about things, and reach back in time for all the things he means to me, and tell him. Once I decided that was what I wanted to do, as the oldest child, I decided everyone else would do it too. (That is my JOB.) This website is the result of those labors.

Brian got his back to me first, followed by Jennifer. Denise and Jeffrey were able to get me theirs when I was home on Memorial Day, and Jonathon e-mailed his soon after. Matthew, who was swamped with tornados and restaurant business, managed to get his to me in time. I rewrote my page after receiving everyone else's. I am thankful and proud of their quick and positive responses.

It is obvious to me that this was a project all could feel involved in, and I want any one else to know that this is not a finished project. Any future contributions will be included. Just click on the pictures below, or the names above, to read each contribution.

We constructed this website in the Spring of 1999 and shared it with my Dad on Father's Day. It had the desired affect. Don't forget Mom's page, at the bottom!

NOTE---Four years after sharing this site with my Father, he slipped away from us. I have added his obituary and my brother Brian's Eulogy to the site.
