is dead


An Oak Ridge resident, Mrs Ruby A Foster, 80, who had a number of Clinton relatives, died in Oak Ridge hospital Monday. Her home was at 242 North Purdue Ave.

Mrs. Foster, who formerly was associated with her husband in the Foster and Foster, later the Foster and Blazer Furniture Co., at Solway, had moved to Oak Ridge from Georgia in 1943.

She was a member of the North Clinton Baptist Church and enjoyed needlework and growing flowers.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs John (Anne) Blazer of the Solway community, Mrs Nell R Stair and Mrs Boyd (Jean) Dishman of Clinton; two sons, Ralph W Foster of Clinton and Travis W Foster of Knoxville; 26 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are to be held at 2 pm Thursday (today) at North Clinton Baptist Church with the Rev R L Lovette and the Rev Howard Hannah officiating. Burial will be in Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens.
