My name is Stacy Landry and this page tells a little bit about myself, my family and how I got involved with rubber stamps and stenciling.

Like I mentioned above, my name is Stacy Landry and I am a 25 year old band director who lives in a cabin in Northern Minnesota. I have been married to my husband Matthew Landry for a year and six months. We have a dog named Forrest and two cats, Skitter and Juliet. We moved to Northern Minnesota in August 1997 and have been surviving our first winter up north. Matthew enjoys writing poetry, playing the guitar, reading and grouse hunting. Forrest is really into chipmunk and squirrel chasing, Skitter and Juliet have taken up the hobby of bird watching, and I have been keeping myself busy by playing my clarinet, reading, frequenting the Fitness Center in Park Rapids and of course, rubber stamping and stenciling!

How did I get into rubber stamping and stenciling you ask? My mother and sister-in-law, Sheila and Jenny Landry, introduced me to this art and got me addicted to it this summer. It is a great thing to do in your spare time and we have fun sending each other the cards that we have made. It is so fun to see the cards that other people make because everyone has their own style. I like to incorporate things from nature into my cards, such as birch bark, leaves and pine cones. You can find rubber stamps and stencils almost anywhere, even in Northern Minnesota and they are very reasonably priced. There are classes that you can participate in if you need help getting started. There are notices usually posted in stores that sell rubber stamps and stencils. If you haven't already, you should give rubber stamp art a try, you will enjoy it.
