The earliest Burwell we have found was John who married Alice Heath about 1640.
They would be our 8th great grandparents. Of interest is the fact that Alice married second Joseph Peck and he is also an 8th great grandparent through their son Joseph 2.
Alice and John Burwell had children:

  1. John Jr.
  2. Zachariah married Elizabeth Baldwin 1663 in Milford, CT.
  3. Samuel
  4. Ephraim
  5. Nathan married Temperance Baldwin in Milford, CT.
  6. Elizabeth
Nathan and Temperance had daughter, Sarah, who married Josiah Platt in 1707.
