Get the stains out! CRAYON: for hard surfaces like walls and floors,
spray area with WD-40, and brush with a stiff brush.
For crayon marks on fabric spray on a laundry prestain
and flush with hot water. MUD: Let mud dry, then lift up as much as you can with
spoon handle, Vacuum the rest up. If residue remains,
sponge with a solution of 1/4tsp liquid dishwashing
soap and 1 cup water. GUM: For superquick removal freeze gum with ice, then
crack it off when it is hard and brittle. KETCHUP/PIZZA SAUCE: Gently scrap away bulk of
ketchup. Sponge on cool water, blot with1/4tsp
dishwashing soap and 1 cup lukewarm water. blot with
clean towel and water. VOMIT: Act quickly, stomach acids can bleach fabrics.
Soak up the bulk of vomit with a paper towel. Flush
area with water and apply a bacteria/enzyme digester(available at pet supply stores). FRUIT JUICE/SODA: Soak up extra liquid with a terry
cloth towel, flush with cool water. Blot with towel
dipped in solution of 1/4tsp. liquid dishwashing soap
and 1 cup lukewarm water. Blot again with clean towel
and water. Last resort blot with hydrogen peroxide (careful - it can cause color dyes to bleed.) |
