Support our Troops Let me introduce myself...My name is Charlene Thayer Montgomery. I was born 58 years ago in a small town in Eastern Ohio.,Right along the Ohio River where Ohio,Penn., and W.Va. connect. My father,Emmett was the son of James William and Ida Mae Paterson Thayer. He was the 7th child of 12 children. Ten of these children survived and had children of their own. My search for where I can from and who my ancestors are started about ten years ago. My husband and I spent alot of time in the local cemetaries. The thrill of seeing my last name on a tumb stone from the 1800's begain a flu-like symptoms and the only cure was to dig deeper.
