Deshazo Ancestors
Welcome to the world of my Ancestors!
If you are looking for Deshazo's,
you will more likely than not, find ancestors somewhere along your line
on this website! The Deshazo name is believed to have originated in France.
It has most certainly underwent various forms of spelling and pronounciation
during the English - American anglicization of the name (ie. DESHAZA, DESHAZE, DESHASER, DESHASOE, DESHASIER, DESHAZER, etc.). The photo
above is of my grandfather (center), John Franklin DeShazo, two of his
brothers, Millard (right) and Dillard "Jack" (left), with their
eldest sister, Vivian in the baby buggy. The photo was just too precious
to leave off the web site. If you want to see if you are related to me,
check out My direct DeShazo line. Please
let me know, even if you are a very distant cousin!! I'd love to hear from
you! I am also researching the lines of Peter Manuel BAKER, John L. BROWN, CUNNINGHAM, Henry HOLADAY, Obediah EASTES, Moses Thompson LAMB, Samuel LANE, MCKINLEY, Nathan Ezekiel PERDUE, Samuel ROBERTS, Sam WINTERS, and Aaron WILLOUGHBY.
The reason for this site, is that I
may in some way, help you connect some genealogical lines. I have been
researching this line for about five years. When I got online, I
thought that I would make a whole bunch of connections, by doing
a net search . . . NOT!! So, I decided that I would share the information
that I have accumulated (from various sources, and with the help of fellow
Deshazo researchers) with everybody else who thinks like I did! So, now
you have found Deshazo's by doing a net search (It's okay
if you found us by accident!)!! Please search the pages thoroughly. I realize
that there is A LOT of information herein. If you have any questions, I
can be reached by email at deshazos_online@yahoo.com.
I don't check email often, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. Also, I would be more than happy to add documented (please
state the source) information to these pages, if you would be so kind to
send it to me (as an email attachment - I use MS Word 2000). Now,
just sit back, relax, and enjoy the "dig"!
Here's some tools for ya!
I would like to express a special Thank You to Pauline D. Brahms, who contributed much of the information on this site.
I would like to extend that thank you to ALL of
you who have contributed information, comments, encouragement, and praise!
Truly, Thank you ALL!
My work has been
mainly focused in Georgia and Arkansas,
tracing my direct line.
Becky
