What can you expect to find in my "closet" ? Most of the information will be directly related to my family lines. You will find, a photo album of some of my ancestors. Pictures of family headstones, transcriptions and burial information can be found in Our Family Plot. I have some links also, which I've broken down into three areas; genealogy, same surnames and non-genealogy (yes, believe it or not I do have other interests).
I volunteer on the a few helplists such as the "Douglas County Helplist" for headstone inscriptions and photography. Please do not ask for look up etc... I just don't have the time required. My work is restricted to Douglas County, Nebraska - The information I need is: 1) Name of Cemetery 2) Name of ancestor(s) 3) dob and/or dod (not required but is most helpful). If you happen to known section, lot, grave number or any other information that would be helpful please include it also. What I will normally do is... 1) call the cemetery to verify information 2) request a cemetery map indicating the burial location of the individual(s) 3) make a trip out to the cemetery. When you email me your "request" you should receive a return email from me within a week, if not email me again, for whatever reason I probabaly didn't see it. Also, I usually have a waiting list, so patience is required, as I work full time and have a family.
