......  +Elizabeth Kamphuis Born: 8/15/1840 in Warfhuisen, Netherlands Married: 6/25/1869 in Grand Haven, Mi. Elizabeth immigrated to the United States in 1869, according to the 1900 U. S. Census.  Elizabeth was known to have had epileptic seizures.  When she lived in the Netherlands she worked as a maid.  She reportedly had a seizure while working near an andiron, fell and hit her eye on the andiron and lost her sight in one eye.  Elizabeth and Hans made Grand Haven, MI their home and resided there until 1884 when they moved to a farm near Little Black Lake.  In Dec. of 1912 because of ill health she went to live with her son George Meyer, at 323 Ferry Street in Grand Haven.    Died: 5/9/1913 in Grand Haven, Mi.
