Land of spacious beauty
Wondrous sight to see
Splendor in this vastness
Pride it means to me

Touched by nature's bounty
With love my heart is filled
Looking at this beauty
The grandeur of it spills

All across the Heartland
Our earth so sacred blessed
Hands that toil with fervor
It seems they never rest

This our country made of
Hands so strong and free
Given from our Fathers
Our treasured gift to be

Earth that pours forth blessings
In bounty we receive
All across these special lands
So much these hands achieve

Peace and love abundantly
For all the world to share
Constant growth of bounty
The harvest love and care.

Welcome All To My Page!!
Starting at Independance, Missouri. It was 2020 miles, to Fort Vancouver in the Oregon Territory. The average trip by covered wagon, took between 9 to 9 1/2 months, from beginning to the end. The pioneer settlers faced many hardships. Needless to say, it was not an easy trip! On a good day pioneers could travel up to 20 miles a day.
