A FEW REASONS I LOVE U2!!!
--Their songs are meaningful at a time when not many songs on the radio are. The lyrics are spiritual without being preachy. Love is portrayed realistically, not ideally, and the music itself is deceptively simple and beautiful.
--U2 cares about big issues, using their influence as rock stars to change the world for the better. How many other lead singers have received awards from the president of the United Nations or given their sunglasses to the Pope?
--During the Popmart tour, they arrived for their encore in a 40 foot tall discoball shaped like a lemon.
--They are a great rock and roll band.
I could go on and on, but instead, I recommend that everyone just buy a U2 album and discover their greatness for yourself. Any album will do, they're all fantastic. Or surf the web using some of my links! |
