This was something that I dreamt about long ago. I'm guessing that it was from watching "The Abyss"; about an underwater city raising from the waters.
It was a great seuqence, when I look back on it now. The Special Edition on DVD is well worth the price, IMO. The dream I had was this huge city, perhaps Phillidelphia, raising from the middle of some ocean. And I was watching this from inside some giant museum (Which had an odd resembalance to The Franklin Instatute...).
I've done this pic with Melody souly in mind. The idea that she would raise the city from the waters for what ever reasons. The idea enticed me for a while and I decided to do the pic.
It took me awhile to think of how I was going to do this. I found a website that had some scanned covers of old DOS games. This one was from "Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar". Needless to say, I've spent a lot of time downloading those pics. ;-)
I like this one for a lot of reasons. It's very pleasing to my eyes. And for some reason, I keep thinking that thus pic has some religious undertones in them. This was a very bright pic that had some appeals in it. Everything was glowing, the sunset background. The city itself. Even the trident. I've had to show some great personal restraint just to avoid using too much lighting effect!
