History of the Thibodaux Bowling Association

The Thibodaux Bowling Association got it roots from the North Lafourche Bowling Association, originally chartered in 1960. This organization was led by the late Papa George Folse. Since its inception into the sanctioned league play the Association has been held in Thibodaux's only bowling center, the former Sugar Lanes, now The Gator Bowl. The Association was rechartered in 1977 as the Thibodaux Bowling Association. Many a great people have been members of the Association through the years. Presently, an eleven member board of directors lead our organization into the next millennium. Our mission in Thibodaux is to bring bowling back to the status it enjoyed in its glory years of past generations. We hope to accomplish this by emphasizing the friendships that are created on the lanes. While we are committed to bringing the best product for our bowlers to enjoy we are also aware of the fact that not everyone will shoot that 300 game or 800 series, therefore we are just as committed to see that everyone has as an enjoyable time for their money as we can. The Thibodaux Bowling Association is presently serving bowling from Lafourche Parish, Terrebone Parish, and Assumption Parish. While we may a small Association we feel like we can still be the best by allowing our bowlers to bowl and not worry about the ever changing rules of the game as dictated by ABC.
