Ty England is a former member of Garth Brook's Stillwater Band. Ty has been touring the country with his own
band since 1995. With such hits as Should've Asked Her Faster, Smoke In Her Eyes, and Irrisistible You, Ty
has developed his own following of fans, known as Ty-Land.
I had the oppurtunity to meet Ty when he was still touring with Garth in 1992. He is not only a great singer, performer,
but also, I can call him a friend. He always has a smile on his face when he is around his fans, even if he is having a bad
day. His fans come first at his shows. He puts all his energy into his live shows, and believe me when I say, "You will not
leave a live concert of his disappointed!" Unless you are disappointed when the show ends, like I am all the time.....
Ty was dropped earlier this year from his record label, RCA. I feel their loss will be another record company's gain. Ty's voice is
unique, and he doesn't try to immitate his influences in his singing, like other new artists. I pray that another company will see this
soon and gives him the chance to prove to radio that he has the ability to make in the music industry.
Ty needs all his fans support in helping him reach his goals. You can help by calling country radio stations in your area and requesting
Ty England's music. Also, you can approach venues in your area and surrounding cities to book Ty and his band. I have seen Ty perform in
Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama, and Nashville on numerous occasions, and I can't wait to see him when he comes back to my area.
Ty and his wife, Shanna, are the proud parents of three beautiful children, Aspen 7, Tyler 4, and Levi 8 months, and another one on the way (it's another boy). They are currently living outside Nashville
but have decided to move back to his home state of Oklahoma in the future. Ty has recently sold his home outside of Nashville and bought a new home in Oklahoma, close to his parents. They are in the process of getting settled into their new home. Even though he is moving back to Ok., this does not in no way mean he is giving up his career in music. He is still
touring with the hopes of securing a new record deal soon.
Update- I got to see Ty in Little Rock, Arkansas recently. He was still moving from his old place to his new. We had a good time at the show, and even though we missed most of the old group, the new group is sounding good. I had the best seat in the place, sitting on the edge of the front stage at Ty's right foot. (Thanks for not kicking me too hard, Ty. *lol*) He sang my song, "Forever", to me. The crowd was small, but most were attentive to his show. I really hated to see the show end and see them drive off because I don't know when I will see him again.
UPDATE:Ty and Shanna England became the proud parents of another son, Mattie Garrett England, on February 25, 1998, at 11:52 pm.. Mattie weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs. 12 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. Ty's website reports that all are doing well. Congratulations to Ty and Shanna.
