I had two tickets to this game, but no one could go to a Tuesday night game - so I sold my extra ticket to a guy out front - but no one came to sit next to me.  Somehow I lost the photos to this game - the Wild lost the game so no big highlights to share anyway.
11/11/02                        3-2 Wild loss to Edmonton Oilers                          Game Recap
11/29/02                        2-2 Wild tie Colorado Avalance                            Game Recap
The day after Thanksgiving usually means shopping, but I headed to the X for an exciting afternoon of hockey instead.  My cousin and best friend in the whole world, Kristi Ledin also went to the game with her hubby Dewey and some friends. Next to me, Kristi is probably the second Wildest fan I know.  A game doesn't go by that we're not on the phone chatting about the action on the ice. This was the third time I'd seen the Wild take on the Avalanche.  During the other games their #2 goalie Aebischer was in net instead of goalie extraorinare Patrick Roy.  Not this time, though.  The Avs have been struggling this year - especially at home - and haven't been in the top 8 in the conference much this season.  If the playoffs were to happen now - Minnesota would be in and Colorado would be out.  What a strange season indeed!  The Wild applied a lot of pressure to Roy all afternoon.  He shoots...he scores!  Honk, honk, honk.  Rock and Roll...Hey!  The Wild put one past Patrick Roy.  The Wild tied up the game 2-2 and that's the way the game would end.  They tried really hard to win in overtime, but no lucky bounces.  Check out the shots on goal at the 10 minute mark of the 3rd period - the Wild were actually outshooting the Avs - and that NEVER happens!  What an exciting game!
1/13/03                                  NHL Super Skills Competition                                      Recap
This is always a fan favorite event - an autograph session followed by an alumni/celebrity hockey game - topped off with the skills competition.  Cousin Kristi and her kids Jordan and Spencer joined me this year.  For the Skills Competion the Wild split into two teams and competed against each other in various events: fastest skater, puck control, accurate shot, hardest shot, goal tending, etc.  The Green team led in total points until the final competition, the Goal Tending Challenge.  The White team pulled out a last-minute victory by beating Green team goalie Dwayne Roloson.
