I'm 48, live in Detroit, MI area. I have 3 adult children, and seven granchildren, but I'm one of those "young" grandmas. I now live with my fiance, Jerry, and his 4 cats, who were all rescued by him!
We recently moved. One of the cats became very ill and had to be put to sleep, a week before we moved.
He was the youngest of them all, so it was very unexpected. There are a few poems on this site about that cat, "Oliver". Please take time to read them.
I was a social worker who worked for years with homeless teens in a residential, long-term shelter.
I'm currently not working...illness!!!
I began writing seriously (haha) about 8 years ago. I have written numerous poems, which will be displayed, in time, on my site. I have also written an auto-biography, various personal memoirs, daily journals, a personal legacy about me for a family heirloom, and a genogram.
My future plans are to produce a CD book of my writings, complete with music, pictures, and voice.
My poems are generally sentiments about people and events that occurred throughout my life. I also write poems and attached links to my many causes!
The intent of the CD and this site are to encourage other people to write and for my personal enjoyment...I hope you enjoy this site!
