The words in these poems took a lot of soul searching for me. What started out as a quiet evening when I was first hospitalized, sitting down jotting some words for myself, turned out to be an outlet for me to get down on paper what I couldn't share verbally. With the exception of the first 2 and the last 6 poems the rest were a start of a long process of healing. Healing of damaged emotions, healing of self-acceptance and most of all healing of many years of heart ache and denial. I know that with some of my poems they have been helpful in me getting to know myself and my emotions. I hope that through them they will bring to others the comfort they have brought to me. Although many of them come from a negative standpoint it has enabled me to vent some of my negative feelings out instead of keeping them in. Click on the poem to read each one. |

"Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my sighing. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." (Psalm 5:1-3) |
