HOURS
My daycare is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasionally, an earlier morning or later evening is okay, as long as its pre-arranged.

BACK-UP CARE, ABSENCES, AND VACATIONS
You are allowed 5 vacation OR sick days per year unpaid. If you are taking a scheduled vacation, I do require 2 weeks notice. If I take a vacation, I will give you at least one months notice and you are not required to pay for time I take off. Its very rare that I take any time off.

Paid Holidays:
These holidays I take off with pay-
New Year's Day
President's Day
Memorial Day
Independance Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas

If the holiday falls on a Saturday then I will take off the previous Friday, if it falls on a Sunday then I will take off the Monday after.
If care is needed on a scheduled holiday, the rate will be $5 per hour and must be pre-arranged.

Back-up care: Back-up care is the responsibility of the parent. Although very rare, unavoidable emergencies or illnesses may come up. If I am unable to provide care for your child on a scheduled day, you are not required to pay me for that day. I will credit your daycare bill for that day.

Child's absence: If your child will not be attending daycare on a scheduled day, please call me and let me know as soon as possible. You will still be charged your regular daycare rate, unless you want to use one (or more) of your 5 unpaid vacation/sick days. In that case I will credit your daycare bill for that time.

SICK POLICY
In the best interest of all children, I cannot care for children who are ill and contagious. Common colds, ear infections, sinus infections, allergies, teething, and toothaches are ok, and it is alright for your child to attend daycare. If your child has vomited, had diarrhea, ran a fever, etc. overnight, please do not bring them to daycare the next day. This sets up a vicious cycle of passing germs back and forth between the children.  They must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to daycare.

If your child becomes sick while in my care, I will call you, and you must pick up your child as soon as possible. I will keep your child separate from other children in my care as best as I can until you arrive to prevent germs from spreading as much as possible.

If antibiotics are to be administered, please do not bring your child to daycare until after antibiotics have been administered for 24 hrs. The doctors usually say that after 24 hrs, they are no longer contagious.

WITHDRAWAL
A 2 week notice in writing is required before withdrawing your child from daycare. In the event no 2 week notice is given, 2 weeks pay is due upon dismissal.
