About Me
What can I tell you about myself? I'm really not that interesting. I live in Newcastle, Australia and I'm studying Information Technology. I love music, movies and reading, though I don't read as much as I used to, or would like to. The reason I like those three things in particular is that they all, in one way or another and albeit temporarily, take me away from *here and now*. I don't know if I can explain that but anybody who has been moved by a song, a movie or a book will know what I'm talking about.
I also love the beach. If I'm feeling low physically or mentally, I find the combination of sun, sand and surf soothing and healing. If I'm feeling good, it's just plain fun. If I were rich, I'd buy a house right on the beach, preferably on some beautiful tropical island.
Which brings me to another love of mine, travelling. I've been lucky enough to visit Fiji, Tahiti, the Philippines, the U.S, Mexico and Canada. A lack of money is keeping me grounded right now, but I hope to travel more some day. Different places, different people, different cultures fascinate me, and I'd like to experience as many of them as I can.
I have a wonderful family and some very dear friends, both online and off, but I enjoy my own company and even crave it sometimes when I'm feeling burnt out by people. I'm a hopeless romantic, over-emotional and I worry about everything. If I could change one thing about myself, it would probably be my lack of self-confidence. I'd love to be one of those people who feel they can take on the world.
Okay, that's probably more than you ever wanted, or needed to know about me. Maybe writing this at 5 a.m. wasn't such a good idea. ;-)
