| Spiritual Warfare Lesson #14 The deception of the devil Deception occurs when a person believes the lies that the enemy has been telling him. The moment you begin to believe the lie that the devil is been telling you, is the very moment when those when those wicked thoughts and mind games begin to produce reality in your life. The devil may assault your mind repeatedly telling you that you are a failure. However as long as you resist allegations, they will exert absolutely no power in your life. If on the other hand, you begin to give credence to these lies and mentally perceive them as though they are really the truth. Those lies will begin to dictate to you and will dominate your emotions and thinking. If you allow this to happen, in the end your faith in that lie will give power to it, and will cause it to become a bona fide reality in your life, and you will become a failure. This is completed failure. We must have the mind of Christ. Philippians 2:5 says, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. By listening to those insinuations and giving credence to these lies, this dear Christians sadly opens the door for the devil to keep pounding away at the mind and prey on his or hers emotions. If this seducing ,deceiving process is not stopped when it first begins, it is only a matter of time before the weary minded believer begins to embrace these mental lies as though they were really truth. By falsely believing satans lie, whether it be, You will not be healed, This marriage cannot work, God can't restore my marriage, I am going to die, I'll be depressed all of my life, I will always be lonely, I'll never be able to get of of these drugs, I'll never quit smoking. I'll never lose this weight, the Dr. says I have Cancer and I am going to die, by listening to these lies, the believer opens the door So that the enemy can take these suggestions, and move them from the thought realm into the natural realm. Don't listen to his lies. When Satan comes at you with these lies, do what Jesus did. Tell him what the Word says. When satan tried to temped Jesus, After Jesus had fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. Jesus told the devil (IT IS WRITTEN.) Read Matthew 4:1-11 Satan can not stand up against the Word of God. The Bible says that we are more than conquers. It's time that we give satan a taste of his own medicine. |
