| Spiritual warfare Lesson #5 Spiritual warfare and renewing the mind. The mind is the strategic center where spiritual warfare with the god of this world (satan) takes place. The enemy knows how important your mind is. He knows that if he can take control of your mind then he can expand outward into other areas that that needs to be strengthened by The Holy Spirit. By poisoning your mind with unbelief and lying strongholds. The devil can manipulate your mind, your emotions, and your body. Moreover, he will also try to use you to pour this same unbelief and lying strongholds into others. There is no doubt about it. The mind is the strategic center for spiritual warfare. By nature we were all born with an innately rebellious mind and a rebellious nature that was against God. Colossians 1:21 says, And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. Prior to our salvation experience we were alienated and enemies in our minds by wicked works. Romans 8:7-8 says, Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 2nd Corinthians 4:4 says In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Let's look at his same verse in the Living Bible. 2nd Corinthians 4:4 says, Satan, who is the god of this evil world, has made him blind, unable to see the glorious light of the Gospel that is shining upon him, or to understand the amazing message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is God. So you see we are born into this world with a nature that was bent toward self annihilation and was fully capable of developing strongholds by itself. If we do not seek to renew our minds, wills, and emotions to the truth of God's word then we will remain in bondage. The devil knows that if he can stop us from renewing your mind, Then he can wage war on us successfully. |
