On a hill call Calvary stood
the very first Christmas tree.
Upon it hung Savior
for all the world to see.
It was not decorated with the
finest of silver or Gold.
But it held this worlds Redeemer,
just as the prophets had foretold.
A star is placed upon our tree
to glow through the night.
But the very first tree held
God’s eternal light.
We want to give our families,
the best gifts that we can,
Yet Jesus gave the greatest gift,
in order to save man.
There will never be another gift given,
as wonderful as this.
It doesn’t matter what
we put on our Christmas list.
If you want to make Jesus happy this Christmas,
Lay a special gift at the foot of the Cross.
The perfect gift for Him,
would be a soul that is lost.
