Grandma's The little orange table that we all loved and adored, sat in the small dining room, just inside the door. It's where the kids sat, with no tears or regrets, next to the adult table at dinner and breakfast. Some of the neighbors that came in didn't think it was right, but all the kids worried about, was when our sister would start a fight. One by one, the orange chairs disappeard, and at the adult table, a new face would appear. Eventually the little table was folded and put away, high on a shelf in the basement to look back at yesterday. I have to smile when I look back, as I watch my son, at a little table, eating his afternoon snack. |
