SSHA opening event.  Decent turn out for the first SSHA competition.
The weather was on our side.  No rain and a good temperature for throwing.  A couple of boys from alberta came
show us how it is done and as such hold some of the SSHA records (I am sure they will be back next year to break them)
Doug Campbell can take full credit for organizing a smoothly run event.

The day was a perfect sunny 21 degrees C day.
A pretty decent show for competitors with hard core crowd favorite Ray Morton showing up in the afternoon to compete in the final 3 events.  Ray Hall injured his ankle on his second throw of the hammer resulting in his having to sit through the rest of the competition
Neil Brown did a good job getting people out to play today.

he ladies had a decent competition on Sept 16 with 3 newcomers entering the Trig.  Erin Angus (Marnie's sister) came from Winnipeg to add a competitive mood to the event.  Christina (Neil's sister) and Laureen currently have  all of the official ladies SSHA records as this is the first ladies competition in the organization.
