West Bank town of Qalkilya is clinically dead after he saved a Jewish
child from drowning at the Sea of Galilee on Sunday.
The youth, Umari Abdul Halim Aljada'a, 25, reportedly jumped into deep
water in an effort to save a Jewish child who was about to drown, and
when
he did save the child, the relatives and friends of the child
reportedly
refused to help the Palestinian who was drifted off the shore by high
waves.
A few hours later, the Palestinian was found unconscious, having been
drifted to shore.
The condition of the Palestinian was described as "hopeless."
According to Jewish religious law, a Jew should not seek to save the
life
of a non-Jew unless there be benefit in doing so. (end)
