THE ROAD THAT HE PAVED
Upon the cross He once was nailed
Saving our souls for the sins we unveiled
Inside the cross where He now dwells
Is a life He created be it Heaven or Hell

Is He angry for how we evolved in this life?
Is He angry for causing suffering and strife?
Is He hoping and praying we will find our way?
Is He hoping and praying for your faith today?

Only He knows the answers to the questions above
Our existence remains dependent on His love
To be captured by the soul that the cross contains
Requires us to release the spirit that we maintain

So when my day finally comes and I close my eyes
I will succumb to the spirit that He sends when I die
For I know in my heart that my soul will be saved
For I have lived my life on the road that He paved
