To a special friend I met one day We had some laughs And went our way

Soon after that We talked quite long You were upset Something was wrong
It was then you confessed Your health was at stake Your life was a mess There wasn't a mistake
It was cancer you said I asked are you sure? There wasn't a doubt There wasn't a cure
Treatments were there You said what for? One day life ends At death's door
So we talk on the phone Share messages of joy Details we know Each other enjoys
The conversations are true We cherish each one The laughs that we share Can be compared by none
When the day finally comes And our sharing ends I will miss you deeply You're my best friend
The laughs I'll cherish The conversations I'll hear My heart will be sad But I'll always hold you dear
You're the friend I know Who'll watch over me I will miss you And love you for eternity
