Journaling
Journaling is so important to give the story about the pictures. At minimum you should write the who, what, where and when. But try these hints for making it more enjoyable for the reader.
Imagine a page about your daughter's baptism. Add details such as the fact that her great-grandmother made her dress. These details aren't known unless you say it.
Try writing as if someone were standing over your shoulder. Write what you say. You will be surprised how many details you find that you may have been missing before.
Invest in a thesaurus. This is a great tool for adding more concise and descriptive writing to your pages. Have a bungie jumping page? Now you can say you plummeted toward the earth instead of the bland wording, you fell toward the earth.
Don't forget to tell what your feelings were at the time. Describe how you felt when you watched your first-born head off to school for the first time. Future generations would love to know.
Try matting a single sticker or a group of stickers to create a fun effect.
When things like feet or hands are missing off the photo try a sticker! Or add stickers right on the fun photos.
