Paul himself wrote the story of "a day in the life" of a musician, who had to endure a deadline, the lost of his record's mastertapes and the imminence of losing his job. Paul stars in his own production, as "Paul", a musician who loses the mastertapes for his record, and sees his contract in danger if the tapes don't show up until midnight. Meanwhile, he goes through the "normal" schedule of a rock star: rehearsals, recording sessions, video shoots, and even a Victorian age-based fantasy. The filmings began on Friday, November 5, 1982, at Elstree Film Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. The first sequences to be filmed were the "Eleanor's Dream" Victorian sequence, and the filming went until Sunday, May 8, 1983. Also starring: Linda McCartney, Ringo Starr, Barbara Bach, Tracey Ullman, Bryan Brown, Ralph Richardson. |
Give My Regards To Broadstreet |
London premiere of Broadstreet, Thursday, November 29, 1984, at the Empire Theatre in Leicester Square. Prior to the screening, Paul and Linda are guest of honor at a premiere party at the Empire. Also attending were Ringo and Barbara, and Olivia Harrison. Near the end of Broadstreet's screening, at the point where Bryan Brown says, "we've got the tapes", someone in the audience screamed "Thank God!". The heckler was no one other than Paul himself! |
