Whatever Happened To: Wild Life
Wild Life began to be recorded on Monday, August 2, 1971, in Paul's farmhouse in Campbeltown, Scotland. These sessions produce the following tracks, "Mumbo", "Bip Bop", "Love Is Strange", "Wild Life", "Some People Never Know", "I Am Your Singer", "Tomorrow" and "Bip Bop (reprise)". Wings also record the unreleased tracks "Tragedy" and "Breakfast Blues", a blues instrumental that will receive a rare airing on the New York radio station WCBS-FM during December.

During the recording of Wild Life, Linda was heavily pregnant with Stella (she was born on September 13, 1971). Wings consisted, at this time, of Paul, Linda, drummer Denny Seiwell and former Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine. By the time this album was recorded, the band didn't have a name.

Wild Life was released simultaneously in America and UK on Tuesday, December 7, 1971. Unfortunately, it failed to chart and its sales were very disappointing.
