Hellfire Hellions Website Closes Doors

It is with a profound sense of sadness that we announce that the Hellfire Hellions Website is closing its doors.  With the NGE live and with no sign that SOE will roll-back to a pre-NGE state - it has become apparent that the majority of former Hellions have left SWG for greener pastures and will not be returning.  A few members of HH are still active and in-game and we wish them the best.  This site will officially close in 1 week.

Farewell SWG.  You were an awesome game...a long time ago.

New Game "Enhancements" Go Live Today

Not since the CU has there been a more controversial change to Star Wars Galaxies as the new "Game Enhancements" launching today.  These changes completely restructure the game, from user interface, to combat play style, to advancement, and professions.  In reality, this is now a new game, and many have begun referring to it as SWG2.

The thirty-two original professions have now been reduced to 9 professions based on certain characters in the original trilogy.  Advancement no longer requires trainers as everything is now xp based and leveling up occurs automatically with enough xp collected.  Combat has now taken on the form of a FPS in many ways with movement based on keyboard / mouse combinations and attacks requiring continued direction of the mouse to the target vs. locking in with TAB and using keys to execute attacks.  The goal of the development team is to make the game more "action" oriented with a more "Star Warsy" feel.  

How this will change the game in the long run, no one knows.  The Hellion officers request that everyone try out the new changes for a while, just like with the CU changes, before making any final decisions about their characters or guild.
