In North America  with baby boomers passing the half-century mark the
market for health-maintaining products from multi-vitamins to echinacea is
  expected to grow dramatically.   "As
people get older, they feel more aches and pains," says Sisu president
and CEO.   Instead of waiting for something to go wrong, then going
to the doctor, "people are taking charge of their own health." He
compares taking vitamins and natural health products to changing the oil in
your car; Rebular maintenance keeps it running better and
  longer".    "The
[medical] establishment, too is starting to recommend vitamins.  They've
recognized it.:  You don't get heart disease for no
  reason."   - by Michael

A few other facts we have accumulated:
   An Aging Population
Over the next twenty years, the number of Canadians reaching their retirement
years will increase at a rate four to five times greater than the general
population. For example, the number of people reaching their 85th
birthday will grow by 27% in 2006, and another 23% by 2011. The Baby Boom
generation is just beginning to enter its retirement years, generating huge
demand for retirement homes that meet their particular needs
  Increased Life Expectancy
Advances in health care and quality of life are increasing life expectancy
and demand for a range of new retirement services. Today’s seniors are
choosing a lifestyle that offers more independence with care and support
  available when needed.

    HOME Are
you living along?  Don't broadcast the information.  Make your
home appear as if there a number of people and possibly pets around.
Put out toys, dog dishes or extra large boots on the porch.  Vary
shopping and errand times so as not to be predictable.  Shop with
      friends and neighbours.
