THE RAGE HAS BEGUN 06/30/01 As we enter into a new era of a mulletless Hellraiser, we must not forget that although Big Bad & Mad lost his hair last week, he also gained another title (TWC Tag Champs w/ Dark) to go along with his NWA Television Title. As someone at Fury Staff heard Hellraiser say, he's not Sampson, so just cutting his hair off doesn't make him weaker. He showed his strength Friday night at the NWA Indoor Arena by completely outclassing big Jimbo Starr in yet another defense of his Television Title. Shortly following his successful title defense, Hellraiser began his quest for retribution and retaliation for the cutting of his hair. As the lovely Celeste distracted Mini-Stuff following his match, Hellraiser along with newfound ally Brett Bonz, attacked Mini-Stuff, pounding the little man down and each man putting their patented finishing maneuver on him, all because of Mini-Stuff's part in Hellraiser's hair demise. When Mike Thunder and Paul London made their presence known in the aid of Mini-Stuff, what they did was unknowingly make themselves the targets Hellraiser's rage. Later in the show, as Brett Bonz is competing against Paul London, Hellraiser comes out to the aid but is thwarted by London, and at Thunder's urge and request, and Hellraiser's rage not being satisfied, a tag match begins. Hellraiser's fury took over as he disregarded the rules, and his team is disqualified due to the use of a trashcan lid on his unfortunate opponents. Q&A WITH HELLRAISER (No, it's not a typo. It's Q&A, not T&A) 06/24/01 We were able to get an interview with Hellraiser Hark, as promised! He comments personally on certain aspects of his career at this point. FURY STAFF: Hellraiser, we'd like to ask you about your undertaking with Brett Bonz and how that came about. HELLRAISER HARK: Well, what happened there is that young Brett Bonz come to Hellraiser telling me that out of the match that me and him had for the television title, he gained more insite and learned more about this game than he ever did in wrestling school or any of his previous matches. He told me that he knew something was missing in his game, but he hadn't been able to put his finger on what it was. And that if he was going to ask anyone for advice, that he would just prefer that it be the Hellraiser. And so I told him, "Let's just take it a step further. Instead of me just giving advice to you, I'll lead you down the road a little ways." So I guess you could say that Hellraiser Hark has taken Brett Bonz under his wing. FS: What can you tell us about your tempting new sidekick Celeste? Is she a permanent fixture? Is there some relationship, business or otherwise? HH: Businesswise, Celeste is a very ambitious young lady. We'll just have to see how much of this game she can play with the Hellraiser. Valets and managers come and go. As we all know with my former manager, Bastet. And hell, she's a woman so go figure. Personalwise, as far as our relationship goes, what I can say about Celeste, I can't say. FS: Hellraiser. We saw the occurances between yourself and Hotstuff at NWA last night. It's a tragedy what he's done to your hair. Just how bad is it, and what can you do with it from here? How can we expect to see the Hellraiser look at next week's show? HH: Looks ain't important. Hair, or no hair, Hellraiser is still the baddest and maddest mother f***** in the NWA. Don't you think for a second that there won't be retaliation for the actions taken against Hellraiser Friday night. Who it's going to be against really doesn't matter, since the man responsible has tucked tail and run to Japan. But it's just like the Hellraiser always says, it's not about how many times you get knocked down. It's about how many times you get back up. And I'm standing right now. Nobody's safe in the NWA Southwest. Because when the rage gets this big inside of me, when the explosion occurs, lots of people are going to feel it. FS: You seem to be blaming Hotstuff for cutting your hair. And of course, he is the one that did it. But it was Ken Taylor who slid those scissors into the ring, and had hidden the clippers in the commentary booth. And the fact remains that you still do not have a belt for your TV Title. What retaliation can Ken Taylor expect? HH: Maybe the best retaliation for Ken Taylor is just living with the fear that at any point in time, he could be the next victom of the fury! If you watch NWA Southwest television, you know that the Hellraiser can play games just as well as Ken Taylor can! So Ken, put your game face on because it's time to play. And in this game, I bring the violence! Interview over! We never received a dial tone from Hellraiser's phone interview. We just heard a resounding "thud" and the distant sounds of cursing. NEW TCW TAG CHAMPS, HARK AND PITBULL! 06/23/01 Once again the championship quality of Hellraiser Hark is exhibited, in the winning of the TCW Tag Team Tournament, with his partner, Pitbull Kevin Dark. Hellraiser and Pitbull fought their way thru the tournament, gaining the victory in the first round against Pendragon and his partner, Cowtown Kidd Kevin Duncan, who made his first appearnce at the Indoor Arena in almost a year since we last saw him there. Their second round victory came at the expense of Striker, TCW's Heavyweight Champ, and his partner for the tournament, Chris Chronic, with Hellraiser putting down TCW's Champ with a kick to the face with the belt in between Hellraiser's boot and Striker's head. This just continuing the heated fued between Striker and Hellraiser. The final round of the tournament pitted Hellraiser and Pitbull against the Overboyz, with Mike Paige acting a third tag partner (some special agreement between Mike Paige and Paul Lewis). Some may say that this would be a handicapped match, but considering the size difference, we here at the Fury Staff feel that it just evened the odds for the Overboyz to have heavyweight Mike Paige in the ring as a partner. When the bell rang, Paige showed his true colors by avoiding any contact with Hellraiser or Dark. Both teams were feeling the effects of this being their third match of the night, but with the size difference, Pitbull and Hellraiser manhandled the smaller Samir and Corman and they gained the victory with one of Hellraiser's own maneuvers, the Flying Butt Pliers on Joey Corman. Although there was interference affecting the end, Hellraiser and Pitbull were constantly in control. So wrestling fans, hail to the new TCW Tag Champs, Hellraiser Hark and Pitbull Kevin Dark! HELLRAISER LOSES THE MULLET! 06/23/01 Last night at the NWA Southwest indoor arena, Hellraiser was scheduled to take on Hotstuff Hernandez in a title defense, as promised. However, Hellraiser showed up a little angry that night. He came into the ring only to say that Hotstuff is not going to get that shot, and neither is anyone else until he gets his Championship Belt! Ridiculing Ken Taylor with a belt from another federation, and then hitting Hotstuff in the head with it in all his fury, things turned around quickly. Hotstuff regains his composure as Hellraiser was voicing his complaints still to Ken Taylor who was now ringside. Hotstuff then picked up the other federation's former belt and with Hellraiser's back turned, hit him in the back and then in the front of the head rendering Hellraiser unconscious. No sooner had Hellraiser hit the mat when Ken Taylor truly showed his colors by giving Hotstuff the scissors and the clippers so that Hotstuff could shave the Hellraiser's head! All the while Brett Bonz is taken out of the picture by Mini-Stuff as those two fought all the way to the back. Mini-Stuff was able to make his way back to the ring to take part in the haircutting, and Brett Bonz was late in his return to try and stop it. What can we expect from Hellraiser in retaliation of this? Well, as of right now, nothing, because conveniently, Hotstuff is gone to Japan now and there won't be another chance at him for weeks to come! Now, not only is Hellraiser without a belt, but he's without his mullet as well! Tomorrow we will attempt to do another interview with Hellraiser or have him do some commentary here on these big events. Also, be sure to check out the tag tournament tonight at TCW where Hellraiser will be teamed up with Pitbull Kevin Dark to try and go after the belts! HELLRAISER TAKES CONTROL OF HIS OWN DESTINY. 06/16/01 Friday night at the NWA Southwest, Hellraiser was scheduled to take on Chris Young of the Blackbird Posse in a television title match. Earlier in the night, Hellraiser came to the ring for an interview with Tommy Daniels, but quickly took control of the interview himself as he called out Hotstuff Hernandez. Hellraiser stated that since Hernandez is scheduled to go to Japan in the next couple of weeks, he would offer a tune-up match for him, telling him that if he's going to go to Japan he'd better be on top of his game. And what better way to judge that than to go up against the #2 man in the NWA Southwest. Hellraiser Hark. The Television Champ. As the matches went by, one-by-one on the card, it came time for Hernandez's match, but Hernandez came out and announced that his opponent did not show up and so unfortunately he would not be able to perform for the crowd there that night. But our own Hellraiser took control of the situation, interrupting Hernandez saying "I told you I was whooping your ass before you go to Japan, and tonight is just as good a night as any." Hellraiser in a bold and confident move says that he can whoop both Hernandez and Chris Young at the same time, and made the match a fatal three-way. Hellraiser had a unexplected trick up his sleeve in the way of Celeste, a new woman who made her presence known earlier in the night, although her purpose was unknown until she came out with Hellraiser. With Brett Bonz interfering in the match, causing a disqualification, Hellraiser still kept his word as he dominated both of his opponents, but especially Hernandez, as Hellraiser targeted him an executed his devestating maneuver, Ground Zero. For those who were fortunate enough to see this, it was a debut, a move never before seen in wrestling, in any federation. This would surely have made the pin for Hellraiser, had Bonz not entered into the action. As Hellraiser left the ring with Celeste by his side, still the TV Champion, Hotstuff issued a final warning. He threatened Hellraiser, telling him that before he leaves for Japan, he, Hotstuff, will leave with the strap. We're all left wondering how that might happen, as currently there is no strap. FROM NWA'S NEWS SECTION 06/10/01 Chris Young makes TV title challenge. Chris Young has issued the latest challenge to Hellraiser Hark this Friday night for a shot at the new trohpy less and belt less TV title Championship. There was originally a trohpy involved since the new $1000 custom-made belt was not ready on time, but Hark destroyed the subsitute trophy a few weeks back after lambasting promoter Ken Taylor for presenting him a cheap demeaning $2.50 trophy straight from a garage sale somewhere. Taylor admitted the trophy was purchased at a garage sale by one of his associates saying he wasn't going to spend but a few bucks on a trophy when a $1000 belt was nearly done and on its way. Taylor and Hark have traded so0me heated words along the way calling each other impossible and Hark has blasted away at Taylor calling him a cheap SOB and a sorry promoter who has no respect for him, or his 10 years in the business. Last Friday night, Taylor was overheard talking to TV play-by-play announcer, Rob Moore, in the dressing room saying to him that it would be "a cold day in hell before he would ever see Hellraiser Hark with the TV belt around his waist." STILL OUR NWA TV CHAMP! 06/09/01 What we all knew has become true. Hellraiser is still the champ! In his first ever title defense of the NWA Television Championship, Hellraiser took on Rudy Boy Gonzalez. The day after the match, we were able to contact Hellraiser for a brief interview. Here's what he had to say. Fury Staff: Hellraiser, for those of us who follow you intensely, Friday night's match against Rudy Boy exhibited an uncharacteristic performance on your part. Why was that? Hellraiser: Rudy Boy Gonzalez is a seasoned veteran. His strategy is to not let you get into your normal rhythm. That's exactly what he did to me Friday night. Not able to get into my rhythm, I got frusterated, pissed off, and just lost focus and busted him upside the head with a piece of my stinking trophy! But I'm still the champ! Wish I could say the same for Hotstuff Hernandez! I see after licking his wounds from losing the heavyweight championship, he came back against an almost Junior Heavyweight in Ikaloalikalaikaliaklika. Excuse me! So I say this to Hotstuff! Or, Flopstuff! I'll give you the shot you never gave me! Because I know you felt the fury! I knocked you down, let's see if you get back up! And as for Ken Taylor, he'll get what he deserves! Guaranteed! Interview over! Well, we had hoped to speak with Hellraiser more, but his temper runs short these days. We think he's still losing sleep over that whole trophy situation. Maybe next week will bring some improvements and more updates for the site. TITLE DEFENSE 06/04/01 Hellraiser will have his first title defense at NWA this weekend. His opponent will be Rudy Boy Gonzalez, and this will be an event you won't want to miss. We have a feeling Hellraiser will plow right over anyone who tries to come between him and that belt, er, trophy, uh....title! POLL UPDATED 06/04/01 Check out the latest poll because we've finally changed it! Vote on who you think the Hellraiser should take out next! ROB MOORE'S COMMENTARY 06/04/01 If anyone in NWA Southwest right now were in need of an attitude adjustment, it would have to be Hellraiser Hark. On May 25, he defeated Brett Bonz to become the first-ever NWA Southwest Television Champion. Now, traditionally, new champions are presented with a championship belt, and, apparently, that's what Hark was expecting. Instead, he was presented with a rather inexpensive trophy, which Promoter Ken Taylor later explained was a necessary move because the $1000 Television title belt Taylor had ordered was delayed by the beltmaker, so the TV champion needed something to signify his championship. Hark didn't see it that way. He threw a temper tantrum and destroyed the trophy. Backstage, he was calling Taylor every name in the book and demanding respect. Make no mistake; Hellraiser Hark is a veteran with solid credentials, including being trained by the longtime General of Devastation Incorporated, Skandor Akbar. However, regardless of his background, Hark must earn respect. Certainly, he has met and defeated many talented wrestlers, including the ones he steamrolled over on his way to the TV title. In the past, he has demanded title shots for the NWA Texas Heavyweight belt and been genuinely miffed at the lack of such shots. Actually, miffed is too light a word. Hark's slogan is "Big, Bad, and Mad," and, these days, he lives up to every bit of it. Now that he is the NWA-SW TV champ, belt or no belt, he has become a force to be reckoned with, and the rush of challengers has not exactly materialized. Hellraiser's demeanor in the ring can easily intimidate many wrestlers, especially after they see firsthand the brutality he is capable of causing. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hark hold on to the title for a good while. Once the actual belt arrives, I hope that he will settle down and stop giving Ken Taylor and everyone else involved with NWA-SW a hard time. You know what, though? I doubt it will happen. OZ ONCE AGAIN FEELS THE FURY (and soon, Ken Taylor will, too!) 06/01/01 The first of June brought about the first NWA-SW Televion Champion Hellraiser's first opponent! As always, Oz is a tough opponent, but we never doubt our man Hellraiser. Of course, once again, he walks away victorious. Hellraiser sent Oz "down the yellow brick road" with the use of a yellow steel chair! When asked about Oz, Hellraiser told us "You know I always say it's not about how many times you get knocked down, it's about how many times you get up. But this guy Oz, I think it's just more or less stupidity is the reason he keeps getting up! If he wants to continue to be stupid and get up, then I'll continue to knock him back down." Althought it was the main event of the night at NWA, it doesn't seem to be the forefront of things on Hellraiser's mind. In a scheduled interview infront of the crowd and another later for tv purposes, Hellraiser states that he wants to get to the bottom of this, and requests that Ken Taylor come talk to him about it. He seemed to be ready to give Taylor the benefit of the doubt. Taylor at first appeared to be concerned with Hellraiser's comments & actions, but the way he laughed every time he mentioned that the trophy that Hellraiser so despises, was picked up at a GARAGE SALE, shows us a little different story than what Ken Taylor would like us to believe! Upon hearing this garage sale crap, Big Bad & Mad becomes even more incensed, and boils to the brink of losing complete control. When asked to comment for the Fury-Staff, Hellraiser declines, stating that he has nothing to say that would be appropriate for his website at this time. As usual, Ken Taylor is completely unavailable for comment. So althought Hellraiser is a champion, his desires are still unsated. And this situation, unfortunately for us fans, seems to be at a stalemate, with Hellraiser continuing to demand a belt, and Ken Taylor continuing to provide excuses rather than gold. |
