The "Help Children in Pogorzel, Poland" Foundation is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. Pogorzel is a small, rural community in northeast Poland. The average family lives below the poverty level of $1 a day per family. Many families have 8 or more children, often living in a two-bedroom apartment or small home. Some families have had to send their oldest children to live in an orphanage because they can't afford to feed all of them.
There is SO MUCH you can do to help and every little bit helps. You can sponsor a child or a family. You can donate used clothes, toys and school supplies. You can help with one of our current or ongoing projects. Or you can get creative and submit your own idea of how you can help! We will be adding information every week, as well as more pictures of children needing to be sponsored. Please understand that the photos are not professionally done and the website will never be impressive. We prefer to put our time and money towards helping the children.
