In 1973, there was a movie made, called `A Film About Jimi Hendrix' It featured performances of Hendrix in concert, with the Experience, Band Of Gypsys, and solo. It also featured interviews with friends and acquaintances of Jimi's. A pretty decent movie, with some great performances, especially the solo "Hear My Train A-Comin'" which reappears on the `Blues' CD. Featuring performances from the Isle Of Wight festival, Berkley, Monterey, Woodstock, and the Band Of Gypsys concerts, this is pretty decent album, and if you can find it, I definitely recommend picking it up.
One of a few albums I have of Jimi. I remember seeing this one in a record store for the longest time, kept debating about grabbing it, but for some reason never did. Of course, the day I finally *did* decide to get it, someone had grabbed it. :( Took me almost 2 years before I finally found another copy of it, and let me tell you, I wasted no time getting it that time :)
