I'm Petra Verhelst. I'm 20 and I live in Belgium, Europe. I study the history of art in Leuven (Louvain). I've been intersted in art & history ever since I was a child. I became very much interested in painters as Holbein, Rubens, Van Eyck, etc. I also was fascinated in the portraits the artists made of kings & queens, so I started looking for information about them. I became "obsessed" with the Tudors and soon with almost every king or queen I met during my investigation! My study for them will probably never end.
Besides that I alos like drawing and painting, and listen to music, like rock, classical music, folk, ....
I decided to make a website about them, so I could help other people like me to find some information. I give much attention to the portraiture, and I try to find at least one portrait or picture for every king or queen, although in some cases they simply don't exist!
