Engine: Vortec 4800 liter (optional 5300) 1500/V-8 SFI 285 hp @ 5200 rpm with 325 lb. ft. torque @ 4000 rpm. Standard 6000 liter V-8 SFI with 300 hp @ 4800 rpm  and 355 lb. ft. torque @ 4000 rpm in the 2500. All have 100,000 mile platium tip spark plugs, 100,000 scheduled automatic transmission fluid intervals and 5yr./150,000 mile engine coolant change.
4-wheel ABS  dics brakes (brake distribution with premium ride pkg) and DRP (Dynamic Rear Proportioning) optimizes traction while relieving front brake load.
Traction Assist (2wd only) Electronic Traction Assist works with the locking differential to help provide controlled acceleration and enhance vehicle stability on slippery surfaces.
Passlock II and Remote keyless entry unlocks doors up to 30 ft. (disables the fuel system if wrong key is used).
