My scanned drawings

Newest pics are on top. Please link back here if you want to use them, and thanks to my bro for scanning 'em until I got my own scanner.

*innocentlook*
[Ballpoint]

I ferget what this was sketched on... part of my physics notebook? Oh well.

What my *innocentlook*s really look like...
[Ballpoint]

More cartoony. When I showed this to some peeps and asked them if it looked innocent, they said yep, but added "If you look at the eyes, they're kinda non-innocent." I was SOOOOO happy! I'm probly about to eat someone in this pic or sommat.

Crying Silohette
[Permanent Marker with Pencil Plan]

Just playing with some new cartooning-type pens. I've been using them a LOT lately (check my DB page and you can tell...) 'cause they don't smear like ballpoint sometimes does when I erase the pencil

Leon's Vigil
[Ballpoint With Pencil Plan]

Requested pic to make Leon look scary despite his lack of size. I still don't think he looks scary, but I like it anyway... the civil war arms seem to suit him.

Na`hemyr in Drag
[Ballpoint with Pencil Planning]

See what happens when you upset the Saunei? You get pics like this. Anyhoo, Na'hemyr promised he wouldn't get mad, so...

Hypothetical: Male Saunei
[Ballpoint]

There ARE no male saunei, since I'm the only one, but I gotta wonder. The chief diff (that non-saunei would notice) is in the markings and coloration.

And darkness drew her cape over the universe.
[Ballpoint]

Inspired by the line from my book---dealing with the end of time---it's perty nice, 'cept photoshop was being pissy, so instead of editing it (I changed my mind about some stuff halfway thru the original) I just cut out most of it. :)

Email Pic
[Ballpoint]

See the lil pic at the bottom of the page? 'Tis new, likies?

SK, Huglings
[Ballpoint]

These are the cute, four-foot tall pastel kangaroo-like, long-tailed creatures which I have let loose in the various places I pass through to torment peeps. They like to hug people (and have 7 appendages to do it with---legs, arms, ears and tail) hence the name. BTW, all the pics after this labelled SK are from my sketchbook---they're labelled such because most of the are carp, (because my sketchbook doesn't scan well, I don't usually spend a lot of time on the pics in there, and because photoshop was being pissy, as above mentioned) and you might want to just skip 'em. They're in cronological order, might I add, so the worst are first.

SK, Plan for Mangrove Sculpture
[Ballpoint]

My first attempted work for my independant study this year.

SK, Mangrove Sculpture Closeup
[Ballpoint]

Just a profile of his face, his hands.

SK, Winged Alida Form on a Windy Day
[Ballpoint]

This was during the time of Seansong, and I was thinking about it... I messed up my expression, tho. That's the prob with pens, no erasin'...

SK, Hugling and Design for Gryphon Sculpture
[Ballpoint]

Just what it sounds like. Never did the gryph sculpture, was just bored during an Art club meeting.

SK, Gryph Sculpt. Cont.
[Ballpoint]

Same as above (without the hugling...)

SK, More Gryph Sculpture Angles
[Ballpoint]

This is what yer supposed to do when planning sculptures... though I liked the gryph sculpture I did for ceramics where I just sculpted better. :)

SK, Plan for Mabel Sculpture
[Ballpoint]

My second sculpture... turned out much better than the first (and than this drawing).

SK, Brainstorming my 3rd project
[Ballpoint]

Rowan, as I'm sure I've mentioned, is an artist and perhaps my fave of the Astral Jyphon Formation (ie, Mabel, Mangrove, Willow, Cypress, Rowan and formerly Aspen).

SK, Plan for Rowan Sculpture
[Ballpoint]

What I finally settled on (though I must add, I do a lot of diff perspectives on these things---this is just the only one worth scanning :)

SK, Brainstorming Cypress Sculpture
[Ballpoint]

...plus a pic of a kitty I doodled.

SK, Odin's Teardrop-type Necklace
[Ballpoint]

For ceramics we had to do a bead project to develope small motor skills---the pedant is the same as Odin's Teardrop (the necklace Asteress wears, which my book is named after) but the beads are a style just for me. For one, it spells out my fave color (Blue), my fave animal (leopard) and my lucky numbers (6, 8 and 3). It turned out perty well, though it's a bit heavy.

SK, Brainstorming Willow Sculpture
[Ballpoint]

Goodness Willow was giving me trouble! I was running out o good ideas at this point (not that I was large on them to begin with...)

SK, Brainstorming Cypress/Willow Sculptures
[Cy-Ballpoint; Wil-Pencil]

Cypress looks like a zombie... the Willow one is just doodling, really, though I like the closeup of Willow pencil doesn't scan well...

SK, Plan for Willow Sculpture
[Pencil Planning, Ballpoint Final]

Now this is one of the few of my SK pics I like. Imagine trying to sculpt this though?! That's why I've left the Willow sculpture for last (it's the only one I haven't done yet)---I need all the experience I can muster fer this one. BTW, the dragon was probably minding its own business. Willow isn't exactly the nicest person...

SK, More Cypress Brainstorming
[Ballpoint]

Cypress is a sorcier/healer, so....

SK, Plan for Cypress Sculpture
[Pen, Pencil, Colored Pencil]

Silly me, on the second one I started with pen, so I had to do the final over it with purple pencil. :P Ahhh, Cypress, the first (and probably last) of my independant study sculptures to be completed without anything breaking off... damn wings...

SK, Willow and Cypress Doodles
[Pencil]

Eh, I get bored, I'm out of paper...

SK, Willow Body Sketch
[Pencil Planning, Pen Final]

I like it for no good reason. It's just willowish.

SK, Blue Gryph and Fire Gryph
[Crayons]

Maria gave me crayons in mass media. You can see the imprint of the firegryph on the blue gryph. Guess I pressed too hard...

SK, Willow Thinking
[Ballpoint]

Willow's somehow gotten ahold of The Gift of Asteress (that's what's in her hands), a belonging of Mabel's. Perhaps she's thinking about Diana Artemis saying Asteress seemed irresponsible. Would probly make more sense if you read the book. :) Just doodlin'...

SK, The Mock Turtle and the Gryphon
[Ballpoint]

Light doodling... probly have the proportions of them to each other all off, but it was just something I thought of, when out of normal drawing paper...

SK, Itsu's Trueform?
[Ballpoint]

A char I've been thinking of, who is supposed to have the perfect trueform---and I'm absolutely stumped as to what that could be (besides a saunei, I mean :) here's a possibility.

SK, Flying Serpent
[Pencil Planning, Ballpoint Final]

I had to go an entire week without good drawing paper, so an actually decent pic is included (ruined by the scanning process, of course :)

SK, Saunei With Black Markings
[Ballpoint]

I was drawing Aura, and made a mistake, and tried to cover it up.... ugh. I look like a guy, they have these type markings... this at least inspired a pic o a male saunei which I will scan next time I drudge up photoshop.

Anime Me
[Ballpoint, pencil-based]

I was considering using this as the logo for my Dragonball site (notice Krillin's hat, Vegeta's shirt, Trunks' sword...). It's a bit too large though, and I'm conceited enough already. :)

Toony Me
[Ballpoint]

Old pic I just forgot to put up.

Pokemon Pics
[Pic of Ash surprised-pencil; Rest-ballpoint pen]

I have a saying... give a pard a tv set and you'll have a fanfic within 5 minutes. Been watching a bit of Pokemon lately, therefore I had to come up with a couple ideas for it, during commercials, y'know. Besides, it gives me an excuse to do studies like this one. The first two pics are from the English opening theme, the rest are from the episode "Ash Catches a Pokemon!". I love that ep, that lil dance TR did whilst cheering "We're gonna catch a Pokemon!"... too kawaii.

Team Rocket Pics
[Pencil]

Well, the chars are gonna be TR based, besides, I *heart* them. :) Same ep as above---James flicking Ash away with two fingers... gotta love. My scanner doesn't like pencil, and I've started using it again, so these pics may (okay, will) look messed up. I didn't have photoshop to edit with either, so...

Code X
[Pencil]

To protect the world from devastation.
To unite all peoples within our nation.
To denounce the evils of truth and love.
To extend our reach to the stars above.
We are NOT Jesse and James.
We're known only by code, not by name.
Code X...
...and Y.
We show no mercy, so quake in fear.
Secret Team Rocket's gonna kick your rear!

Agent Y
[Pencil]

I didn't like my full body sketch o Y, so he only gets the bust... He's a lot cooler looking than xie-gal is, no?

Mangrove the Angel
[Ballpoint]

I was going thru an angel stage. I drew angel Sumo wrestlers, so sue me...

Asteress (Griffin Form)
[Pencil]

Turning point in my book... was thinking of possibilities for book covers again. Asteress 'tis a shapeshifter, BTW.

Blue Gryphon
[Oil Crayon; Mainly Colored Pencils]

Just playing with new art supplies. :)

Fire Gryphon
[Colored Pencils]

Same excuse as above... I think I've only seen one other fire gryph abouts ever, we need more, dey's perties. :)

Wizard in Flannel
[Ballpoint, Pencil-based]

The story:

One day, BluePard was walking abouts in human form and was cold. She had forgotten a sweat shirt! "Oh no" said BluePard, "For I am cold."
"It's all right." said a friend of BluePard. "You can borrow my flannel, it's in my locker."
"Oh joy." said BluePard, for she would be cold no more.
BluePard visited the locker and retrieved the flannel to find it full of holes and a rather odd color. She, of course, adored it and promptly got a HUGE impulse to draw someone in the flannel doing a ki blast. But BluePard was busy and had no time to draw it, and she was sad.
But then, come last period, BluePard remembered she had Humanities Art that day, and she had completed the current project weeks ago, amidst much grumbling from her classmates. She instead drew this pic, and was very happy, and her classmates grumbled even more.
THE END!

Leon in T-Shirt
[Ballpoint, Pencil-based]

Isn't it cyoote? I'm drawing him as a court jester next. You know the pic of Jester Daffy on my main page. JUST like that. :D

rae IRL
[Ballpoint, Pencil-based]

I was having impulses to draw peeps I knew online that day. This looks nothing like rae (the dragon's not pierced anywhere!) but I like it anyway. :)

Lleu, Tigergryph
[Ballpoint, Pencil-based]

Another pic of an online friend, doing something she quite likes doing. As you may guess, I can credit Bill Waterson for reference.

Gryphon Drawn With Markers

You know, new art supplies.

Sometimes You Feel Like A Nut...
[Ballpoint]

More impulse doodling. Before you ask... no, not a self-portrait. Not far from, tho.

Rowan in Shadow
[Ballpoint]

All images are created by light, its presence or absence. I copied a portrait once by covered a piece of paper with charcoal and then erasing away to create the image (read Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain?). It did teach me something... I enjoy trying to create images without cartoony lines, purely with shading. I have yet to be smart enough to sketch one of these pics out in pencil and then finish it in pen, so it means I can't sketch the pic at all before I draw it... have to have it in my head. I *did* sketch part of this pic---the head. To be precise, one oval for head, one for his snout, you can see them. This is an extreme light source, so it IS noticable.

I *AM* The Leopard Queen!
[Pencil]

I gotta record myself saying that line sometime... I've managed to scare more than one of my friend with it. :)

Cypress in Contemplation
[Indian Ink with Brush]

Just playing around with my bottle of indian ink and a brush I had newly bought just for this purpose. It's the best of my indian ink attempts (so it's very obvious that I don't work with indian ink much) and I like it, if you can tell what it is. On the subject matter---Cypress is a sorcier who uses her art for healing. But it can be used for "other means"... the question is, should it?

Sketches
[Ballpoint]

Some doodles I really liked. On this page, BTW, is the first nude jyphon I've ever drawn---since they all wear nearly the same clothing, I'm so used to it I draw it automatically as if it's a part of them. I have drawn one other nude jyph since, I really should put some effort into one of those---jyphons always look so delicate and emotional unclothed to me for some reason. Bach, I'm just silly...

Anthro Siamese
[Ballpoint]

Not very good, I realize now... the file name comes from the song I was listening to at the time.

Winged, Tailed Human
[Ballpoint]

Just a quick airy sketch, unplanned I think. I remember when I used to do all my pics like this (not airy, but sorta flowing and without planning them). It took me quite some effort to get used to planning out my pics---which has improved them---but I do miss the old style, and it's become a lil more precious to me when I use it, now. Most of my doodles are of this type.

Freeze! (17 k)
(From a possible DragonBall Z fic)

Moyashi has been having a very bad day. She came here to get away from war, and suddenly finds herself in the midst of a huge juggle for power. She has already been held hostage several times today, as well as being generally knocked about and thrown off high places, only still alive because she's too unimportant to kill, time too precious at this point. But Vegeta's time is free for a moment, and his anger great. Her trickery cost him some of that valuable time, and she will not be let off as unimportant this time. But it occurs to her, that old technique she used to use for hockey when weather was too hot might make an attack. If it can freeze a lake, you can imagine what this will do to Vegeta... This is one of two cool things I might possibly have Moyashi do. She's not supposed to be cool!

Another Self-Portrait (42k)

No, I am NOT vain. Well, at least that's not why I bothered to scan this---it's just that I was trying a new style, and wanted to show it off. :)

Drak Brushing Her Teeth (51k)

Well, it all started on alt.fan.dragons. You see, someone asked if dragons brushed their teeth, and a huge thread erupted, since alfandrans are known to jump on silly subjects. Someone (Jia, I think) came up with the idea of linking a whole bunch of dragon brushing teeth pics and confusing ppl. That never came to fruitition, but, completely out of proportion, here's Drak and Aerie, to prove draks have lovely oral hygeine. :)

Portrait of Black Fang (59k)

I'm not sure I should even put his name on it, partly because I didn't draw it with any knowledge of what he looks like at all, and partly because I'm hoping he missed my post giving the URL, and thus, won't cruicify me for it. It wasn't really a portrait so much as trying to capture a strong, complexed emotion, perhaps a story, in one pic. First person I asked about the emotion said "angry". Grrrrr. I'll show you angry...

Fox-Eared Gryph (11k)

Well, Leon has mule ears, I don't see why this is out of the question...

Long-necked Gryph (7k)

Just a doodled gryph...

Slanted Homework Gryph (88k)

Doodled on a practice physics test, right thru two other gryphs [including the foxeared gryph]. I'm new to photodeluxe, so this was as good as I could do, for the moment, at cleaning it up... guess he's coming down a mountain.

Imo, a DBZ Char (34k)

Imo is a Caita-jin. She's just a young'un at this point, and, might you notice, has just lost one of her arms and is bleeding profusely. That matters littles, as she has just determined to lay down her life if need be, to help her people. Oh, and yes, I am aware of what her name means. :)

Gryph Child (10k)

Just a doodle from my English binder that didn't scan too well.

Another Gryphon (75k)

Another doodle on the same binder. Looked really cool their, not so much here.

Ikari, a DBZ Char (17k)

My first attempt at real editing with photodeluxe didn't turn out so well. Mostly the shading screwed it up---need clean lines, apparently. Ikari is Caita-jin, and female. She is constantly surrounded by this aura of black. Normally she would look just like this, but... y'know, better done, with blue eyes.

Ikari Facial Expressions (64k)

Just four of 'em... the surprised one's my fave. I can just imagine someone said something really shocking to her---say, "I love you"---since that or being goosed alone would produce that expression. *G*

Panthera [beast mode] (49 KB)

Well, I missed one of my pics in my files... that's what I get for giving it a name like trouble.jpg! This one's based on a scene that didn't make any of my fics, was cut. Panthera wants to get free of this rope enough to pierce her own flesh and use it as fingerholes to climb up herself. This is as far as it seems she can get, which is enough to make one cry in frustration.

Agate [a trikki] (15 KB)

This is an old cartoonic pic of the first main male character of mine... unfortunately the part he had in my book was cut, so he was never used... liked him a bit, too. A dreamer, like moi. Trikkis are intelligent decendants of dinos, BTW.

Drac [a dragon] (146 KB)

This is a horrible pic, IMHO... it's a char design pic, basically if you can understand some of my scribblings [I didn't clean this one up too much] it shows the specific number of belly lines, proportional length of the tail. It's cartoonic... if you read the Savannah Safari story in Original Writing, this is her. This was done on scrap paper, so it didn't come out well... [by scrap I mean yellowed paper with my dad's company address on it].

A face (45 KB)

This is a random sketch of a face that I drew on gray scrap paper at the end of one of my finals last year... the biology exam, I believe. I had to tear it out and stuff it in my pocket to get it out of there, but it's survived surprisingly well.

IDA of the Qui Panthera series (98 KB)

This is IDA from the side -- odd to see her in profile, actually. IDA was an idea sparked by my lucky fox icon -- this little stylized simplistic fox I draw on everything [especially tests] for good luck. Which is part of the reason I'm so surprised she turned out to be such a "scary" character to most people... this was done with red pen on scrap paper. You can see FATA on the other side. :)

FATA from the Qui Panthera Series (106 KB)

It took me a long time to find a fox kit pic to work from... don't ask me what's with this pose, it's the way the kit was standing. Also done in red pen.

Aura-BP form (42 KB)

Well, as I stated earlier [lower down on this page] I've been trying out a younger, more BPish aura form... I think it looks a lot more like me than Aura, although it's basically the same chimera form. This is a form I can splut people in. :)

A Hawk (166 KB)

This was a sketch done for my sculpture class [one per week] that I just happened to like. Most of the patterning is copied exactly, although I have a real problem with its one eye... scanned surprisingly well given the yellowing, rough paper of my old sketchbook.

Some People From Road Rules (71 KB)

This is a bit of another style.. two pics here, one a gesture drawing, one a bit more detailed. The way I got used to drawing with pen was to just let my VCR run on an hour on MTV or VH1 and then draw anything interesting I saw. Music videos and commercials [like Mountain Dew with people skydiving and skating] are great for odd poses that go by too fast to pick up in real life. This is the most recent thing I've drawn, actually, except for my usual everyday doodling.

Sable [a kat] (23 KB)

Once upon a time, I wrote SWAT Kats fanfics. But I didn't actually write them down -- I drew out the plots. I didn't actually like them enough to write them out, but it was good practice drawing humanoid bodies back when I was convinced human faces were impossible to draw. This is Casey's alternate personality, ya know, superhero type. She's hacking into a comp at the moment, 'cept it's out of sight. It's cartoonic and not the best, but it's an old pic.

Six [a gryphon] (90 KB)

Six is a possible character for the BlueForest novel I'm considering. This is just a possible character sketch. Done with pencil on computer paper.

A Savanite (91 KB)

Design model for the average Savanite of The Savannah Safari. Cartoonic [Savannah Safari was designed to be the pilot for a rather odd cartoon] and simplistic, I tried to hide what I concocted this from the best I could at the time, which wasn't too well. That which I cleaned up is obvious, you can also see some emotion testing pics of Drac on the other side. Don't ask me why I bothered scanning this one.

Patroclus [beast form] in Color (104 KB)

Eh, I never was good with color... this is done with colored pencils. It was basically an attempt to get the color scheme for Pattie straight and looking good -- I believe I changed his color scheme again after this, so don't worry too much if it doesn't match the fics. :)

Hope Anna [human] (9 KB)

This is probably the best drawing of Hope that I have, which is pretty sorry. Hope is one of the most elusive of my chars so far as drawing is concerned. [Although Diana Artemis is nearly impossible to draw to my satisfaction, given her interesting descriptions in the book, she's just not the sort of person you pin down right] Hope Anna is a human, a stubborn human, who was one of my first characters. She was a lot like me at the time I came up with this, only more stubborn, more brave and more knowledgable. She later becomes a goddess, in fact, given her expression I would say she's a goddess at this time, it's just that she's in human form.

Fay [a daemon] (196 KB)

Well, I finally got the rest of this pic scanned. I'm not too happy with the darkness in some places, and it took me forever to shade this to my [near] satisfaction. She's a character in my BlueForest story and this is her trueform -- she's a human most of the time. Done in blue pen.

Echo [bot mode] (59 Kb)

Echo's from my Qui Panthera fics [for some reason no one seems to be able to remember her, although I thought her personality was pretty strong, given that she can knock Panthera's block off]. This is a bad scan -- hope you can make it out. She looks [yes, this a she] a lot more bot-like than the other pics I have in here, in my opinion, tho I think she looks like she's wearing a diaper. And her ankles are supposed to be that thin -- she's got a lot of upper body strength, but shakes just from walking around.

Casey [a kat] (15 KB)

This is what Sable looks mask-less. This pic looked a LOT better on my character wall of fame than in here... again, cartoonic, old pic. Still, it looks nice enough on my wall....

Astra [a jyphon] (17 KB)

Now we're getting into deep history -- Astra was the first jyphon I invented, way back when I had little idea of what they looked like, except that Astra was one of them, and that they didnt' like genies. This is another taken straight down off of my wall of fame, and I think Astra's wings curled about her hides my inability [at the time] to draw back legs quite well. It's kind of scary when I compare this pic to Aura... this was a favorite form of Asteress, who was a slightly changed me [me of many years ago, anyway], so...

April Evelyn Iris [a human] (8 KB)

Finally! An example of how to do cartoonic well! This is one of my most recent main characters -- second most recent after Drak and Aerie -- and she's what I consider my personal best character yet. She is a criminal, a theif, yet a likable one, and her personal view of things and strong religious beliefs all help make her wonderful... 'sides, I got the oppurtunity to invent another religion [having invented one for the jyphons already]. She believes in Animitism [not animism], BTW... this character is so good I won't even allow myself to work on her. She goes into the closet until I can get a TV series made around her [if I possibly can... hey, I'm a dreamer]. This scan turned out wonderfully, but then she's incredibly simplistic. I think it looks good anyway.

The Gryphon Board Group Pic (112 KB)

This pic was drawn of the online personalities/personas of the more vocal [and odd...] posters on the GryphBoard. Pretty much everything/everyone's labeled at the bottom. I got to mess around with Sparhawk's and Daki's forms because they gave no descriptions... the size scale should be more or less acurate. It's a shame about the scan, a lot of the detail [wing patterning, rosettes, etc] was lost, and it's a pic plagued with creases and flying food. But no one's complained about their depiction, so I suppose it's good. :)

Anthropomorphic BluePard (90 KB)

Well, I was hanging about Lothlorien too long, checking out one too many furry pics, so I just had to draw this. The scary thing being that when my bro took out the pic to scan it, he said "This is you?" and he doesn't even know I like leopards. I don't think it looks that much like me.. my basic build, only more muscular, and positioned to look best. I suppose my hair also has those hangy down wisps... The head is basically a pardic face with a human cranium and slightly altered leopard ears on top. Somehow I couldn't picture spots in hair, so there are stripes/streaks instead. There is no real reason for the clothes, orginally I didn't see any need for them, but I added them later just to have something to look at in that part of the picture. Personally I think it looks like a fancy, hanging washtowel.

Aura, a chimera (167 KB)

This is my trueform, so far as I can tell. [Oh, so that's what a leopard with .... etc looks like. :) ] Lately I've been "trying on" a younger, even more wolfish appearing form. I kept trying to draw this but it didn't work... I got struck by this pose and had to jot it down very fast, so it's a quicker movement, with strong lines and just some shading added later.

Mangrove, a jyphon (116 KB)

Mangrove is a cutie. A wimp, but a cute one. He appears as a gryphonic jyphon, a freak really, and he has trouble trying to both express himself through a beak and to get others to stop laughing at him. All the jyphons think he looks stupid... I personally think he looks cute, but I'm not a jyphon. I think he looks a bit pudgy in ths pic, the jyphonic greyhound look not being so obvious from the front. This pic was drawn intended to illustrate my book.

Rowan, a jyphon (111 KB)

Rowan's an artist, like myself. He's a quiet one, and I got out a lot of feelings about my work in him. So I put him in the pose seen most in my self-portraits, in front of a mirror, the mirror not shown, with a drawing board in his gut and an intent look on his face. It took me a long time to decide on patterning for him -- eventually I had to try a hyena/wild dog sort of mottling. Usually I try to recreate a pose I once got in Rowan that was just so him, I've never been able to draw it again. And the first version was quick and distracted, and all my attempts to recreate it in quality style wound up just plain wrong. Rowan is usually found in front of an eisel, not with a drawing board, but he's versatile. Also intended to illustrate my book [hey, they make them smaller in print, the net makes them bigger...]

Patroclus, Robot Mode (22 KB)

This is Patroclus from my fics. He looks pretty noble in this pic, which is uncharacteristic of him. My ability to draw 'bots had improved by this point, so it came out better than Panthera's pics. Unfortunately some detail was lost in scanning, such as the Proxian symbol in a Nightworker's moon on his stomach. Pencil on computer paper.

A Gryphon (68 KB)

This is based firstly on a cut scene from my book where Mabel lands and balances on top of a pole, and secondly on a sketch made in math class. I doubt he could hold this unusual position for long and I always imagine he leans forward and takes a few good flaps every once in a while. His wings are supposed to be spread, but I need to do a study on wings at this point. Black pen on computer paper.

Girl Opening Cocanut (26 KB)

This is based on a picture taken a long while ago when I was vacationing Hawaii. I like the detail on this one, especially on her fingers and toes, though her head is oddly shaped. This one hasn't been cleaned up much -- that blotch next to her head is a drawing of a baby on the opposite side of the paper. Blue pen on scrap paper.

A Squirrel (25 KB)

This was on the same paper as the above pic and the two pics below. It was based on a picture taken of a squirrel pressed against our window by our birdfeeder. I was trying a new style at the time and I like the way these pics turned out. Blue pen on scrap paper.

A Kitten (11 KB)

This was based on a picture of a kitten at camp -- I named him Toby, he was a sweetie. I was perusing a scrapbook at the time I drew these particular pics. Blue pen on scrap paper.

Heron (6 KB)

This was based on a picture of a white heron taken by my father while strolling the boardwalk. That's a horse on the other side this time. Blue pen on scrap paper.

Panthera, Robot Mode (152 K)

This is large pic. It was done in pencil on scrap paper and is kinda dark. It shows Panthera's profile, other profile, back, her sand shooter and her slicing bow. It was a design pic, i.e. I drew it to help my fics. She "normally doesn't walk like this" because she has this odd, croutching panther walk, but this one shows her better.

Panthera, Beast Mode (108 K)

This is also done in pencil (and even darker). It shows Panthera looking over her shoulder in profile. Also a design pic.

Finagle, Beast Mode (27 K)

This is the smallest pic here. It shows Panthera's best friend (remember the end of Through the Cracks?) in beast mode. She is a small Eastern, wingless dragon. She has this mane that I just love to draw. Black pen on computer paper.

Mabel, a jyphon from my book (73 K)

If you read Original Writing you know the jyphons have predicted the fall of the human race at their hands. This is the lucky jyphon (she's 84 at the time; a teenager) who's supposed to lead them into victory. She's looking pretty pensive in this one, though she's not the smartest person, she's under a lot of pressure to succeed. Black pen on computer paper.

All these pics are mine, I drew them, I scanned and/or bugged my bro to scan them, I edited them. Please do not steal them. If you want to use one (for a non-comercial site), email me asking and be sure to link to this page somewhere nearby. Thanks.
