March 3, 1720. The city is divided by the border between the Republic of Belarus and Latvia - theLatvian part is called Piedruja.


 

 

Drysa (rus. Verkhnedvinsk)

August 21 1781. Here we have a typical arms given by the Russians - they cancelled the cities' old arms (many of that arms got lost now) and gave new arms to occupied Litvan cities. Instead of the old arms Russians made arms of the Litvan provinces (the Pahonia on backgrounds of different colours) the arms of cities - like we see it here

approved on August 27, 1652. The hunting horn is a part of the town's owners' arms - the Radzivił family. The aristocratic clans - the magnaty - were very powerful in medieval Litvania. The most important magnaty were the families Radzivił and Sapieha. In arms of many towns we can find their emblems or parts of these emblems

Klimavičy

Kobryn and Haradziec


approved on December 10, 1589. On the shield is St. Hanna. Here we have an other example of two towns using the same arms

under the Russian rule (19th century) the original arms was replaced by this one


 
  Kosava


approved in 1998. In the shield is the palace of Graf Vandalin Pusłoŭski
