Under the Russian rule

In the Russian empire military units formed in national regions had their uniforms and emblems designed according to the regional traditions. So the military units formed on Litvan territory had many attributes of the old Litvan army

The Republic of Belarus

On the revert side of the military flag above the emblem is the slogan "Za našu Radzimu" ("For our Fatherland"), derived from the Soviet army slogan "For our Soviet Fatherland".
