In July of 1987, I accepted the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and evangelize. In 1994, I accepted a position of Associate Pastor of Southside Apostolic Tabernacle and became Principal of the SAT Christian Academy. In June of that same year, I received by Associates Degree from International Biblical Studies in Parkersburg, West Virginia under Dr. Joe Nelson. In 1997, the Lord called me to pastor a small church that had dwindled to about 7 faithful members. Within three months, the church was averaging 42 members and by 1999, was running 65. We needed another building! We looked for property, and God placed us on Walnut Street where a 7000 square foot building sat, unfinished. God blessed us with the 3-acre area, and in August of 2000, we moved into our new church with a sanctuary to seat 100 and with 4 new classrooms. In 2002, we began to build another 7000 sq ft sanctuary that can seat 425. We averaged around 120 at the end of 2003, but expect to grow to 160 or higher by the end of 2004. Our vision is to continue to do the work of the Lord, increase our Youth of Truth Department, build a multipurpose room for various activities, and begin a daycare facility for the community; however, these are just a few of the goals we have planned! Our desire is that we come together in ONE mind and ONE accord. If fact, the scripture shows us that great things happen when we do this. The Word says, “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication.” Those that received the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost received the POWER to be witnesses and soul winners to a lost world. Our call came many years ago in an upper room, and it is the goal of Heritage Apostolic Tabernacle to continue in one accord for prayer. The United States and our world both need that prayer, and I trust that you will help as it is up to us to go forward.
Bearing this great truth to “whomsoever will,”
