Classes that Harry and Hermione take!

Classes:
Defence Against the Dark Arts:
DADA teaches you spells to defend yourself against dark magic or against evil things. In book one, it was taught by Quirrell. In book two: Gilderoy Lockhart. Book three: Remus Lupin. Book Four: Alastor Moody (the fake one that was really Barty Crouch Jr.)

Transfiguration:
Transfiguration is taught by Professor Minerva McGonagall. She teaches the students to transfigure/turn things into other things. In time, Harry and the others will learn to transfigure themselves into other things. Transfiguration is extremely complicated and the results can be deadly. (LoLz)

Potions:
Potions is taught by Professor Severus Snape. He teaches them to create potions to do certain things. He gives them recipes and they have to make a potion that serves for a certain purpose such as shrinking something.

Charms:
Charms is taught by Professor Flitwick. They are taught charms and spells to do fun, useful things such as summonning an item.

Herbology:
This class is taught by Professor Sprout. The learn to care for all sorts of the plants that Hogwarts holds. They learn to grow them and raise them so they don't die.

History of Magic:
This is taught by Professor Binns (a ghost). They learn about the History of Magic and past important events dealing with spells and magic. They also learned about the past of Hogwarts and the chamber of secrets in the second book.

Divination:
This is taught by Professor Sibyll Trelawny. They learn how to read crystal balls and to identify planets and items that represent different events in your life. They also learn to read palms and predict the future.

Care of Magical Creatures:
Taught by Hagrid, this class is taught how to care for magical creatures. They learn all about the creatures and learn how to raise them and sometimes they do different activities with them to learn the animals' traits.
