Shannon was my only daughter,
she was 18 years old when she died. They all died on Oct 31, 2000.
She was born on March 18, 1982. She was a beautiful child. She had such
a zest for life. She had so many plans for her future. She was in the 12th
grade and was so excited about graduation.
I did recieve her diploma,
they presented it to me at her graduation. Class of 2001, she strived so
hard in school in spite of the fact that she was raising Donnie, her son.
She was so proud to be a mother, she took Donnie everywhere with her, she
loved to show him off.
She was going to attend
Bebee School of Nursing after she graduated. She wanted to be a nurse and
work with the new mothers at delievery. She had many friends who loved
her.
Her sense of humor was awsome. She would always light up a room whereever
she was. She was truly a original child. She brought me so much joy in
my life. I will miss her forever, until we are reunited in Heaven.
Her proudest accomplishment
was being a mother to Donnie and at 18 she certainly did it very well.
I can only hope she knows how proud I am of her. She also gave me the joy
of being a grandmother, even though at 36, I thought I was too young.
She made me the happiest grandmother in the world. For 23 months I was
a mom-mom, and that I will cherish forever.
Shannon loved Winnie the
Pooh and she bought Donnie clothes and toys and had her room done in Winnie.
She worked during the summers at Edie's Ice Cream store in Lewes. Her boss
loved Shannon like her own. She was dependable and an excellent worker
and she was always laughing and having fun where ever she went.
