ROW When naught avails these windless sails to fill once more; No rushing tide to usher high the heart ashore, Damn it... grab an oar! |
ODYSSEY Like a ship with sails lowered, left becalmed upon the sea; No passion in my spirit, No direction clear to me. Floating aimlessly offshore, Whitecapped ocean stretched beyond: frightening yet Inviting me to sail on. Sail on! The wind grows more impatient now "Hoist sail!" , she loudly cries "Let me take you on to places never seen by other eyes. For the safety of the shore was never meant for you, My friend. You were made to sail the ocean Seek new shores and Ride the wind!" So if I drift forever, content to seek no shore, Perhaps my end is better Than the fool who asks for more. No albatross shall haunt me; No odyssey of pain. No far horizon taunt me with what I cannot gain. No legend of Atlantis, No treasure of the deep No Siren song to lure me Into a liquid sleep. Ah, See! The sails above me, How they blossom to the sky? I seek my maiden voyage Though my heart cannot tell why. |
MAGIC Do not presume to know my mind Nor the subtle sleight-of-hand of my design. You see what I allow and only guess ...the rest... |
ODE to JOY In reference to the joys of love (Which I've grown weary hearing of) I've known some passion uninspired, with plenty left to be desired. And yet for all the hell of it It still beats being celibate. |

LIFE Bursts forth like dandelions from a sidewalk; Burns hot like fire pushing shimmering air before it. Ravening, consuming. Shark teeth Sharp like a knife No refusing, life. |
