Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, February 20th, 2002 John Gulliford of Hants Harbour, age 75 years. Predeceased by brothers: Gord and Bill; and sisters: Blanche Green, Weaver Mansfield and Queenie Ash. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, wife Alice; one son Paul (Peggy); two daughters: Valerie (Selby Butt) and Anita (Don Hopkins); five grandchildren: Kimberlee Butt, Michael and Terri-Lynn Gulliford and Candace and Jeremy Hopkins, all of Hants Harbour; four sisters: Gertrude Bryant, Bertha Collins, Laura Ash and Mabel Critch; also a large circle of other family and friends. Resting at Green`s Funeral Home, Winterton. Funeral Service to take place on Saturday, February 23rd, 2002 at 2 p.m. from Green`s Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Hants Harbour. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the T.C.P. Health Foundation.

Passed peacefully away at home in Buchans surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2002, aged 72. Formerly of Hant`s Harbour, Trinity Bay. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Clare Gulliford; brother Willis; stepmother Gertrude Gulliford; infant son David; mother-in-law Lucinda Woodland; and father-in-law Albert Woodland. Beloved husband of 48 years to Bernice (Woodland); and loving father to Diane (Tom West), Buchans, Boyd (Patsy), Marathon, Ontario, Bruce (Liz), Leaf Rapids, Manitoba, Reg (Lori), Chamberlains and Terri-Lynn (Mark Ricketts), Grand Falls-Windsor; special grandchildren, Trixie, Dean, Angie, Barry, Nikki, Geoffrey, Sheldon, Courtney, Danika, Andrew, Ryan; and special great-grandson Matthew. Leaving to mourn, sisters, Dorothy (Graham Strickland), Buchans, Charlotte Piercey, Port Union; and brother Robert, Broad Cove.
