This update is dedicated to my little dog, Pippy who passed away Friday, January 23rd, early in the morning. She was with me for eight years--not nearly long enough, and saw me through some rough times. She will be very missed.

In this latest edition, I've posted some wonderful photos taken by a friend, and professional photographer, Tony Lee, during our latest visit to the dog pound in Villa Martin. With the support of rescuers locally and abroad, we put together a team of professionals to provide veterinary care and vaccinations for the galgos there. In one evening, we vaccinated 40 dogs. Please, take a moment to learn about our work below.

Meet Gorda, a "galgo" (Spanish Greyhound) female we rescued, and have been fostering. We brought her home with a belly full of puppies in hopes of giving her and her puppies a chance at life. She came from the same kennel as Espana (see picture below). Her situation was a product of pure stupidity--refusal to separate males from females. Learn more about Gorda and her puppies here.
