Poem of the weak (that's W-E-A-K)
This is my monologue
It's one of very many
It's a prologue of a catalogue
Called "Monologues a Penny"
It was going to be a duet but it wasn't kosher so the duet not
I am aware that didn't rhyme
But neither does this line…
Oh damn it does!
But at least I lost the rhythm
So my monlogue is solo
But wooden as a log should be
I never should have gone so low
As to stoop to poetry…
Or comedy, parody
Ecstasy and lunacy
Rhyming timing
Climbing miming
Which doesn't work on radio
Just ask Marcel Marceu
Who never got past his pilot solo
Promo, gung ho, silent show.
But sometimes it does work
Like some of Pan Ayres' wares,
But dare I air Ayres' wares
Where my wares bare fair fare?
But how to finish this rhyme
A witty remark, a moral bind
No I'm just going to fade out [fade out]
Wait I've changed my mind…..
