As of October 2004 the best way to donate:
1) Until 11/20/04 Donate via walkathon website www.walkforeducation.org
Advantages: 100% will go to HHSDFS, convenient, can charge to credit card
High participation chapters win $$$ for more scholarships
Drawbacks: $20 minimum donation
Fundraising Walkathon - November 20, 2004 Donation Instructions:
To Donate via website: Click on Pledge, under Find A Team enter Hilltop,
under Location select San Diego Nov. 20, 2004, and click Submit
2) Any time Donate directly
Advantages: 100% will go to HHSDFS, your cancelled check is your receipt
Drawbacks: It will cost you a postage stamp
To Donate directly: Mail check to Hilltop High School Dollars for Scholars,
c/o Hilltop High School, Attn: K. Rahilly, Counselor, 555 Claire Avenue,
Chula Vista, CA 91910. See How to Donate for a form and further info.
3) Any time Donate via United Way
Advantages: Convenient payroll deduction; easy to budget small periodic amount
You can cancel any time
Drawbacks: Only 86% goes to HHSDFS (United Way admin charge: 14%)
To Donate via United Way:
During United Way campaign time (or ANY time during the year), obtain
donation form from your United Way representative or payroll department.
Fill out the donation form; you may enter our United Way of San Diego County
ID number "562709" or simply write "Hilltop High School Dollars for Scholars".
If you write the name, write it out in full; if you write only Dollars for Scholars
or Hilltop, your money could end up someplace other than where you expect!
4) Limited times Donate during special HHSDFS promotional periods
Advantages: You may receive something or a chance of receiving something
Drawbacks: Not always available
